Thanks to everyone for another great year with the Lehigh Valley ISA.  We had some great things this year:
- Multiple educational presentations on wireless and asset management
- Investment in our future with student scholarships at the Honors and Awards banquet and also Student Night
- Time with the local vendors who support the Lehigh Valley ISA
- A tour of the Ontelaunee Power Plant... almost (we're trying to reschedule for another time based upon personnel changes at the plant)
- An upcoming tour in May of the Kraft Foods plant in Fogelsville (another email to follow with details)
- A golf outing in June
- A Reading baseball outing in August

Thanks to all of the many people who volunteer their time over the year to make all of this possible.  We hope you had a chance to participate this year, and if you know other people who would like to be added to our mailing list, please let me know (you don't have to be an ISA member to be on our mailing list and participate in our events).

According to our bylaws, we need you in the membership to vote on our leadership for 2008/2009.  Here's a basic overview of the people who have offered their time:

President: John Day (Air Products)
Treasurer: Phil Reppert (Worley Parsons)
Program Chair: Shane Filer (Neal Systems)
Membership Chair: Nick Wilson (Rosemount)
Student Scholarships and Student Night: Charlie Longo (PPL)

Golf Outing: Dave Arner (Air Products)

Vendor Night: Dave Demerit (Air Products)

ISA Delegate: Dave Glockner (PPL)

Leadership Board: Dave Tachovsky (Allentown Valve and Fitting), Jim Keaveney (Emerson / Micromotion), Warren Weidman (Worley Parsons), and Charlie Ackerman (Webmaster and Listserv communications)

You may notice that Ed Legenski, the current Vice President and Program Chair, is absent from this list.  Ed and his family will be moving to Arizona for engineering working with his company, Worley Parsons, and as such will not be able to participate in this upcoming year with our section.  Hopefully we'll have him back again some time -- thanks for your hard work and dedication, Ed!

We do have a few openings if you are interested in participating further with our excellent organization by stepping into a leadership role of some sort -- we have need of a secretary for this upcoming year, and we could also use someone with web expertise for our website, as Charlie Ackerman would like to take a break for this upcoming year if possible (thanks for all your hard work, Charlie!).  Please let me know if you would like to know the benefits of ISA leadership as well as what the expectations would be.

Thanks,

Shane Filer, President 2007/2008
